Tim Tumblin

Youth Minister
It's been asked of me on several occasion "What keeps you going in youth ministry"? One individual even sarcastically asked, "Do you really think that you're making a difference in those teens' lives? You know they don't listen to what you have to say anyway; so why waste your time?" I must admit that I have pondered the thought of moving on to another ministry where the rewards may be more visually sound. However that wouldn't be the Lord's will for my life. He gave me just enough immaturity as a 33 year old man so that I can minister to teenagers in a mature Christian way. I am happy to be a part of the ongoing work that God has in store for us here at Kimberly First Baptist Church.
The Youth Class meets on Sunday mornings for Sunday School at 9:45 a.m. and also on Wednesday nights at 7:00 p.m. for Wednesday night prayer meeting. Wednesday night classes are really intense in that it is a night when we have rap sessions and dig into the Word of God concerning the issues of today. We debate with each other using the Word of God as the source for our opinions. With the scriptures as our judge we very seldom leave class in disagreement but on the contrary leave more enlightened to what God has to say about a matter.
God is opening doors for a youth choir, puppet ministry and drama teams. There is definitely a place for you in our Youth Ministry. Hope to see you soon.
